Everything (not so) Clean...

I regret to share my deeply disappointing experience with the Daylesford Cleaner Lisa from Everything Clean by Lisa.

In the beginning, our experience was quite positive. She was enthusiastic and thorough, displaying a friendly and approachable demeanor that initially put me at ease. Her initial work was impressive, and she seemed genuinely committed to providing high-quality cleaning services.

After a few weeks, communication became ongoing struggle. Repeatedly, I found it nearly impossible to reach her via phone, which was especially problematic during emergencies. Often, I had to call upwards of 20 times before resorting to text messages, which were the only method they seemed to respond to, and even then, it was with significant delays.

One of the most alarming incidents occurred on Christmas Day. Despite having confirmed the cleaning service for our Airbnb guests, Lisa failed to show up, forcing us to issue refunds and deal with unhappy guests. When questioned, the cleaner simply stated she didn’t work on Christmas, yet failed to notify us in advance, leaving us in an extremely difficult situation.

Feedback was another major issue. It was never received constructively. Rather than addressing the cleaning concerns we raised, such as unclean toasters and ovens, untouched fridges with food remnants, and generally low cleaning standards, she would deflect by mentioning unrelated tasks she had done without our request or consent, like rearranging the property and replacing items with those from charity stores. This was incredibly frustrating as it altered the look of the property, which had been clearly shown in our listing photos, without any prior approval.

In terms of cleaning, the service was subpar often. Beds were often made sloppily with sheets hanging down (when the new cleaners came to redo the houses that were "done" according to her it apeared to them that slept in sheets had been used to set up the house (images on the house before the new cleaners started are above and show just a small portion of the buid up of filth, grim and sub par work she was charging a premium for),

Another thing I got a few calls about were that toilets had marks from previous guest use. Important details like dusting and thorough cleaning were neglected, leading to complaints from guests about dirty conditions and resulting in several refunds.  I included some of the airbnb reviews above we got while she was cleaning...

She expressed a desire to increase her rates, all while having previously bragged about turning over a 2-bed, 2-bath house in just 45 minutes for 145.00. While efficiency is commendable, it’s crucial that the quality of cleaning meets the expectations of my guests, which was not happending.

The final straw was when we decided to terminate her services. Her reaction was not just unprofessional but downright abusive and hysterical. She returned to the property without permission and took items such as lamps and cushions, claiming they belonged to her.  

When I called the police to notify them of potential future issues with her breaking and entering we were appaulled to learn that they already knew her by her full name and they stated she had a history with them.

Overall, I cannot recommend Lisa from Everything Clean by Lisa . The lack of professionalism, poor communication, and substandard cleaning service have caused significant issues and stress.

I would advise others to look for more reliable and professional cleaning services to avoid such a negative experience.
